Little preview of what I’m working on for DC Nation.

For that anon ask about how to keep poses loose.

This is how most of my drawings start out - with a quick, rough gesture. I try to visualize a pleasing way for the subject(s) to be moving and use swift strokes to capture that image. Adjustments can be made later [in terms of anatomy, model, style, etc].

Background complete! Now to work on the characters & final details.

Nearly a year after first sketching this piece, finally getting around to coloring it. Just basic colors and lighting for now, but after finishing Skyward Sword for a second time, I felt compelled to work on this again!

Apologies for the rough art the past couple days. Not feeling entirely well. Hopefully a good night’s sleep will help.

This is another prompt from tennantwhovian: The Pines Twins snuggling with Werewolf by a campfire. Definitely will be bringing this one to a finalized state because I just love it too much.

Busy work-day today, finishing it up with some personal fan artz.

Definitely going to finish this one up, but felt like posting the rough Work In Progress. :)

Nearly had a crisis: I almost forgot how to render fur! Guess I’ve been drawing people/humanoids too much. Oh well, back to painting.

Digging through my old cache of files, I re-discovered this piece.

Decided to sit down and re-work it today. Here’s a work-in-progress shot.

I really wanted to get this piece done in time to make prints to sell at Nan Desu Kan this weekend. Too much else to do, unfortunately. Oh well.

Yorokobi Portrait WIP 2.0

Felt like doing some fairly mindless scribbling today, but ended up working on Yoro’s realistic portrait instead. [Insert internet “derp” here.] I would really love to get this & another painting done soon, but we’ll see.

Work In Progress

This idea popped in my head when I got to “Another Day” in Subaseka/TWEWY. Neku has just entered THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Tomorrow is Saturday & I have the full day off! Hopefully I can finish this piece and a couple others up. :D

I almost didn’t want to share this yet, because I wanted to finish it first. Then I remembered this is supposed to be a sketch blog. Hopefully I’ll have time to ink & paint this tomorrow!
